The government increased the capacity to 40 seats in the academic session 2023. Theory and practical classes of Honours, GE, and compulsory courses (Environmental Studies) are taken as per the timetable on a regular basis. A well-equipped laboratory has been established in the college building dedicated to the practical purpose of the honours as well as elective students. The laboratory is an asset for the institution which has scientific charts, chemicals, glassware, good quality equipments, etc. which creates enthusiasm in the young minds for botanical experiments and motivates them towards research. All such infrastructure mixed with the able guidance of the teachers provides the students with an optimum insight of the subject matter.

A seminar library has also been set up in the department so as to help the students in their academics and semesters. Apart from it, several field studies are also conducted to the nearby and distant forest areas to inculcate the practical field knowledge among the students.
