The Department of English aims to enhance the English communication skills of students and their grasp over the history of the development of English literature and language. 

English Honours was introduced in the college in 2023 with the sanctioned student strength of 32, and the department offers undergraduate Honours teaching to its first batch of English Honours students. Additionally, the Department has been offering communication classes through SECC-1 and AECC-2 papers since the establishment of this college in 2016.

The Department also hopes to help its students explore various career opportunities in teaching, writing, publishing, editing, content writing, journalism and multi-media mass communication, etc. It has a sanctioned strength of 3 teachers.
