The Department of Physics started in the year 2016. This department is offering 3 years UG regular program in Physics. Department of Physics focuses on the development of critical thinking and the building of the scientific temperament of students because the study of Physics is the study of natural laws that govern the universe. It prepares students for further examinations like IIT-JAM, JEST, CPET & various universities’ PG entrance examinations.

Our laboratory has the majority of instruments for various practicals each semester. Some of the costliest instruments like the Four-Probe machine, spectrometers, and various electronic boards are also present in the laboratory. Also, the computer programming practical of Sci-lab, C & C++ which is included in the CBCS syllabus has been taught to students in the computer laboratory.

The faculties of the department are continuously in touch with the students. They solve students’ queries with friendly discussion. They are also engaged in the preparation of questions for class tests and internal assessment tests, as part of a continuous evaluation process. The Department conducts weekly seminars on ongoing research topics in Physics to keep students updated. There is also a Project work for students in the 6th semester to increase their knowledge in the field of research.

The students are hardworking and sincere which is reflected in the success rate. The success of the students has been reasonably good since the establishment of the Department. The students of the department have qualified in many state and national level competitive examinations and are now pursuing higher studies in various universities in India. They are working in prestigious fields like defense and Banking.
